As part of the Vendor Business development Team, I am responsible for generating new business sales for a select portfolio of clients which vary quarter to quarter. My role is very varied as I have a further responsibility to implement and arrange attendance for events such as small seminars, briefings and workshops etc. Working closely with vendors means that I often engage in call out sessions. Cold calling is a large focus in my role as is the opportunity to research and built rapport with potential clients. It is hard to describe an average day - a role with Vistorm changes daily.

I enjoy the chance of speaking with a wide variety of new people - many of whom will benefit from the products and services that we offer. Helping people gives a real sense of satisfaction.

Vistorm has been an extremely enjoyable company to begin my career with. Everyone has been extremely helpful and accommodating which is surprising and unique in such a fast paced, sales driven environment. The best part of Vistorm is the people. The city office is an extremely enjoyable environment to work in. Everyone has gone out of their way to help me learn and progress. Although I am still very much climbing the learning curve, I feel I have come a long way since I joined with no sales or IT experience.

I am extremely lucky to be newly aligned In the Vendor Business Development Team. My manager has gone out of her way to help and encourage at all times no matter what the query or problem. There is a strong team morale in the City office. I would feel more than happy to approach any member of staff if I had any questions. I know I will always be pointed in the right direction if they cannot help me themselves.

There are numerous opportunities for career development. The senior management history speaks volumes for that. Vistorm seems to function as a meritocracy where you get from the company what you are prepared to give. I have had extensive training from experts from Vistorm, vendors and distributors. Although a little overwhelming at first, I have found this extremely helpful in my role so far. I have never been denied training or help when I have asked for it.

Having spent my first day with Vistorm at the October Sales Kick-off, I was immediately introduced to Vistorm’s work hard, play hard ethic. I have had many social outings with Vistorm since starting - all very enjoyable!

I would say that if you are looking for a company that will give you the opportunity for career progression where you are rewarded for your efforts, and a fun, friendly sales driven environment then Vistorm may be perfect. I believe that selling and promoting the Vistorm brand, products and services gives an automatic head-start over competition. We have a strong amount of brand awareness, some of the biggest companies in the world as clients and a good reputation in the market place. Being a niche product provider in the area of security is also a strong selling point to potential customers and indeed recruits.
